What’s up, Art Fight Faithful!
It’s cooling down, which means it’s time for us to turn on the heat and roll out one heck of a lineup of fall events for you guys!
First up is a doozy. We’ve been cooking a special project for a few months, and we’re thrilled to officially announce Super Art Gallery, a three-week fine arts show at Night Owl Gallery (hyperlink) in Baltimore. Running from October 11th through November 1st, we’re creating an ultra-unique gallery that shows off the sort of art we make offstage, a little mini-museum of SAF memorabilia, and caps it all off with a live installation of special extra-long, extra artsy Super Art Fights. We’re really excited to show you a whole other side to our roster and connect with a cool Baltimore gallery, and we’d love to see you swing by to check it out.
As part of our tenure, we’ll be putting on four super unique events for you guys:
– A free opening reception on the evening of 10/11, with two extra-special, extra-long art fights!
– A metal lettering workshop & screenprint demo headed by DIETANIUM on 10/18!
– A comedy show organized by our very own host Andie on 10/25!
– And finally, a killer Halloween costume party and closing reception on 11/1!Whew! We hope you got all that, because we’ve still got a heck of a November waiting!
You know us and love us at the Ottobar, so we figured we’d make our return as much a party for you guys as it is for us! Consider this your invitation to Super Art Fight: Homecoming at the Ottobar on 11/8. Wear your old prom dress! Break out your best tux t-shirt! Dance like you did in middle school! We’ll have everyone’s favorite hot dog slinger Glizzy’s to keep you fueled, and best of all, we’re going to be collabing with School of Rock Baltimore to bring you live music by their students! Whether you come stag or get your old band back together, it’s going to be a memorable night you won’t wanna miss.
We’ll then make our return to Miryokucon on 11/23 — this time at their swanky new harborside venue! — before sending you off to your Thanksgiving festivities, and we’ll have one last show at Ocean City Comic Con (12/14-12/15) before we roll right into our 2025 shows. But that’s for another update– we’ve got more than enough goodies to keep you entertained all fall long!
It’s gonna be great. Can’t wait to see you there!
